Outcome: Simplified process to manage the ownership of service, test, and other non-user accounts.
Current Situation: Tens of thousands of non-human accounts existed without any known owner.
Impact: The un-owned non-human accounts introduced a security risk for the organization because their purpose couldn’t be accounted for and thus, they could not assess if these accounts were needed and/or had appropriate access rights.
Resolution: GCA worked with the client to create a self-service workflow that could automatically assign ownership of these accounts based on data that was already available. This expedited the process of documenting the ownership of all accounts at the organization.
